EXETER CONCERT FOR PROSTATE CHARITIES

A major fundraising concert concert in aid of prostate cancer charities is to be held in Exeter, in St David's Church, Hele Road, Exeter, Devon EX4 4JS. Ensembles and artists from the Devon folk arts organisation Wren Music will be performing to raise funds for the Chestnut Appeal and The Prostate Cancer Charity.
The concert, will feature the Exeter-based choir Voices In Common, the youth vocal ensemble Campus Choir, East Devon folk orchestra Rough Music, plus the internationally-renowned folk duo Marilyn Tucker & Paul Wilson, and award-winning Border piper David Faulkner.
Tickes are £8 full price or £5 for full-time students, under 18s and people in receipt of income-related benefit. Tickets can be ordered by post from Exeter Charity Concert, Church Path Cottage, St David's Hill, Exeter EX4 4DU. If a stamped addressed envelope is not enclosed, tickets can be collected on the door at the concert. Cheques should be made payable to Exeter Charity Concert. Wine and soft drinks will be available and donations warmly welcomed. Those who are not able to come to the concert can make a donation at www.justgiving.com/jennylloyd2 or by post to the above address.
St David's Church has disabled access, and there is disabled parking in the church yard and for unloading.
Christmas Fair

Why not come and join us at Stoke Dameral Church Hall in Plymouth. A Christmas Fair will be open from 11am until 4pm, many unusual items for sale.....come and snap up a christmas bargain..........plenty of parking.

Christmas concert
Date: Sunday 7th December 2008

Why not come and join us for our Christmas concert.
Its in the spacious hall at the new St. Peter’s School, off Quarry Lane, Exeter.
The Exeter Police and Community Choir will be supported once more by the Sidmouth Town Band. The concert starts at 7pm, and there is plenty of car parking.
Tickets are priced at £6 each and can be reserved by contacting concert organiser Ray Tabb on 01392 660868. Cheques can be made payable to ‘Charity Concert.’

Prostate Cancer Awareness Week

During Prostate Cancer Awareness Week the appeal is involved in various activities across the region. More details to follow. If you have anything arranged please let us know and we can help advertise your event.
Chestnut Cup

Marjons in Plymouth will be the venue for the first annual Chestnut Cup.
Your 6 a side football team is invited to a tournament, where you can win a trophy for the overall winner, as well as a prize for the team with the most sponsorship.
