Plymouth Steering Group Presentation
12th January 2010
A group of prostate cancer patients have got together and formed a Steering Group. Based at Derriford Hospital, their main aim is to raise awareness of prostate cancer in the community and give free talks to groups and clubs about their cancer diagnosis and treatments.
The Chestnut Appeal presented them with £1000.00 worth of technology to enable them to do just that. Charity Manager Lesley-Ann Simpson says, "This presentation is a fitting way to begin our 10th Anniversary Year, we are thrilled to have been able to help, its wonderful to meet a team of people with so much enthusiasm". "Raising awareness of prostate cancer is at the heart of everything we do and we look forward to hearing about the work of this newly formed group".
