Chestnut Cup News
27th April 2010
The second Chestnut Cup took place on Sunday 25th April with 11 teams from across the region taking part. The first match to kick off saw a shock when last years winners Becton Dickinson lost 5-1 to Brittany Ferries in group 1. Meanwhile in group 2, Serco were too good for the BBC Southwest team winning 5-0, and in group 3, Hydrock Consultants and Plymouth Hope progressed at the expense of the Met Office. The final took place between Brittany Ferries and Princess Yachts. This 'battle of the boats' produced a thrilling match watched on by Plymouth Argyle loanee Kenny Cooper, who was on hand to present the trophy to deserved winners Brittany Ferries who won the game 3-2. Well done to all those who played with great spirit and enthusiasm, with special thanks to the students from Marjon College and the referees who worked very hard.
