14th May 2010

World Cup legend, Sir Geoff Hurst was top of the bill at a sportsman's supper at Boringdon Hall in May where he spoke about his famous hat-trick in the 1966 World Cup Final. The evening was arranged by Ian Palmer of Plymstock United and included a three course meal, an auction of football memorabilia and a comedy routine from Tank Sherman. The evening was a great success and raised a total of £1,150 for the Chestnut Appeal. The charity would like to thank Ian for all his hard work in raising such a fantastic amount.
